CoVid Practices For 2020 Tennis Tournaments
Ace National Tennis Events will implement the USTA virtual tournament desk using the Match!Tennis app.
- Players will submit the required medical release form prior to match start time on Saturday.
- Players should complete the virtual check-in no later than 30 minutes prior to their first match time.
- Players will receive their court assignment via text message - 15 minutes prior to their match times and are required to be on their assigned tennis courts before or at their match times.
- Tennis balls will be placed on the tennis courts for each match.
- Tournament officials will provide match format and instructions at the tennis courts.
- Both players are required to submit the final match results using Match!Tennis App.
- All tournament tennis balls should be placed in the designated basket by the winner at the end of each match.
Suggested Practices During Match Play
- The tennis balls can be left at the baseline for the next player serving or placed on the tray under the scoreboard.
- Players should toss tennis balls to the other player or use their tennis racket to hand tennis balls to the other player during the match.
- Use a towel to place on the bench or bring their own folding chair to use during the changeover or breaks.
- Players should use hand sanitizer at the end of their match.
Ace will have team members present at the tennis center. Players and parents are asked to contact the tournament desk via phone call or text at 404-313-1883 for questions or concerns.
